All i’m sure about is 120 Hz ~16:9, 24 Inch monitor. Processor choice is also pretty easy, it seems, (likely Intel Core i5-3570K).
The question is basically this: wot videocard/proc i need to run it all smoothly on a lil over 120 fps (although i heard of some 120*2+1 = 241 fps formula o.O) on high settings on any map with 24 ppl on it. Although i see most of plat players playing on very low graphics, so i wonder is it even possible with my budget.
Any piece of advice, knowledge, links is greatly appreciated, but please speak only if know wot u’re talking about :)
Thx ^^
Tf2 is not very dependent on gfx. Much more on cpu so just go for whatever suits your needs. If you play gfx heavy games like battlefield crysis etc i would suggest gtx 670 or 770. But depends on your needs
As for monitor I suggest benQ xl2420t. Solid monitor!
Btw you should go for the 4th gen i5. (i5 4670k)

If you don’t plan on overclocking, I would go with the i5 4570 instead of the 3570k, since it’s a bit better bang for buck. For GPU either 660 or 760, imo 770 is very overpriced right now.
The BenQ that alba recommended gets my thumbs up as well.

Yeah true, 660/760 should be more than enough, if you decide to go for overclocking i suggest the fan noctua nh-d14. Heard alot of good stuff about it.

Yeah, 760 looks good, 770 IS overpriced. With monitor.. ASUS VG248QE looks prefect (1 ms response time compared to 5 benQ). Thx for the proc, totally agreeing with u too – same price, but next gen, etc ^^

Yeah, 760 looks perfect. With proc: i think i can handle 30$ for 200 moar frequency (i5 4570).
Settled on this monitor: ASUS VG248QE (1 ms response time).
Thx for the site, very useful ^^
