The scaling options in CCC do nothing when using 144hz. -freq / -refresh 144 doesn’t change anything either, because I have 144hz selected already.
And this ‘games not stretching’ stuff happens in every game. And even in Windows if I try a smaller resolution with 144hz.
that sounds more like ur monitor doing scaling, where you should put gpu to do scaling
also do what tviq says instead of trying to get 144hz

Well, Lightboost is a nVidia technology. If anyone finds some sort of hack for using it with AMD cards, I personally would greatly appreciate it, though :)
[edit]
One more addition @lightboost on ATI: It IS actually possible to get it on AMD/ATI cards by hotplugging your DVI from an nvidia card to your AMD card. So you will need a second PC with an nvidia card (labtop?), activate LB and hotplug your DVI over to your PC. Lightboost will stay on as long as you don’t manually plug out your monitor’s power. System restarts will not affect it. So if you really really want it, that’s how you do it.

No option for me, but maybe worth trying out for some.

Didn’t know my SA700D could do this, gonna try it right away.
edit; nvm I see it increases input lag by quite a lot

Good news, my fellow non-NVIDIA users.

I’m about to test, will tell the results here.
I have been running the strobelight beta for two days @10% on an ATI 6990 & a BenQ XL2411T not had any issues, but not noticed much difference tbh, I will give it more of a test over the weekend.
Oh well, I get the same problem with re-scaling again when I use LightBoost.
It’s probably because of my old GPU (ATI Radeon HD 4770).

ATi + xp = fucked gpu scaling, just fyi.
I use Windows 7.
