I’m going to start my first business, but first I want to make a little market reaserch.
Will you be interested in new server provider company located in Roubaix/Strasbourg/Falkenstein/Nuremberg/Luxembourg?
Which of these locations is the best (for you and your opponents, not just you) ?
I can offer:
• Answer from support in one hour between 8:00 and 22:00 CET.
• Intuitive, nice looking control panel.
• Preconfigured servers with ETF2L config, season 15 maps and fastdownload.
• Low prices as I don’t need to live off this business.
• Great performance as I propably won’t sell too much of them.
I’ve got experience in hosting srcds servers on dedicated box as I am admin of TryhardBrigade.com servers.
Price for private slot will be 0.45 euro.
I’m going to offer discounts for renting server for longer time.
It will be 10 percent for 3 months, 15 percent for 6 months and 20 percent for 12 months.
Moreover I’m going to accept payments with items using automatic Steam Bot.
What do you think?

Good luck with your endeavour!
As for research, it couldn’t hurt to ask Nocturnals from Team Doctrinal about this. He has run a server provider company before.
Thanks, I will ask him.
Ok cool, I’ll ask the hard questions:
Are you a comfortable developer? If so, are we talking web UI, backend, or both?
If you’re going to use linux, are you already familiar with it?
Have you had much experience running game servers before? (pub community, match servers, etc)
I’ve got public TDM server running on GNU/Linux and I’m currently working on webui, but it should be done in one-two weeks.
I’m not sure what do you mean by asking “webui, backend or both ?”.
I can’t imagine doing it without both unless I get your question wrong.
I’m not going to sit in front of my pc all day to do everything manually :p
EDIT: What do you think about Luxembourg?

for lux, i get 30 ping which is great
for hetzner i get 58 ping from sweden.
Ive tried hetzner servers and played on fakkelbrigade since arie has a server there.
The ping are so damn horrible and it gets u high ping at least once or twice per week. They ave alot of routing issues.
Just keep in mind some datacenter from OVH got lot of problem with lot of country/isp. (routing, node etc)
Beside that, gl in your project !

Are there any well priced root/v server providers out there which don’t have routing issues?
You can’t have a perfect location, coz the routing change all the time, but you can avoid some problem.
