Steam offline messaging (and partial chat logs?) + web client

Woooh, best thing that happened to steam in a while… Been waiting for this feature so long!
Seems that this update is brand new because people I’m talking to don’t have the ability to chat with offline people yet. Can’t find a Steam Client changelog on it either!

From now on the changelogs for the beta’s will always be there.
There’s now also a web chat client: http://steamcommunity.com/chat/

My school internet doesn’t allow going online on Steam…Finaly offline chat is here :D very nice
The chat logs are rather bizarre. I have several messages from weeks ago, yet I’m missing most of my messages from earlier today.

It’s 100% web based, on the client anyway. It works for me at work, where usually everything is blocked :D
all my steam and steam chat icons in taskbar now are tf2 icons, this is confusing
