TotalBiscuit recently released a helpful video on the issue of criticism, where he addresses the most common forms of criticism content producers usually receive:

It provides insight into the mind of someone who is genuinely interested in improving the quality of his work. He explains at length what kind of criticism make the recipient want to listen closely and take notes, and what merely frustrates and demotivates the person it’s addressed to.

I feel this is relevant to the ETF2L community due how often people seem to confuse their personal opinion with constructive criticism, and become vividly upset when it gets ignored.

A problem I’m seeing recently is that people seem to take criticism as a personal attack, from some sort of hidden agenda. Sometimes criticism is aired purely from the desire to see something good happen, or improvement.

Sounded like a snap when I read it. Perhaps I am wrong or maybe not. If he was not sarcastic then I apologize for the reply and and I will edit the post to nothing. Some times it’s a bit hard to tell when someone’s sarcastic.
