Trouble in headset town.

I recently upgraded my windows from windows 7 32bit to 64bit (legit). And for some reason my headset mic has decided not to work, I can hear through the headphones still. I have tried it in another computer and it worked so i doubt it is the hardware and i have another headset which works on my pc. My headset is plantronics gamecom 367 my sound card is a basic 7.1 High Definition onboard sound card.
Any help will be greatly appreciated even if it might not work.

Doesn’t work at all? Did you check you have the right input selected?
I’m pretty sure it’s the right input selected as my other headset works fine. But if i have miss understood that please expand on it.

Do you have a control panel like RealTek?

Yeah i have RealTek, and it says its connected etc. But on my windows recording devices it shows no movement on the bar

Silly question but what happened to me, made me mad at first and LOL after a while. Is the mute thingy on the cord on? :D
