Would like to know whether the game is worth pirating.

It’s good but suffers from slight skyrimitis.
Yet to play Co-op or multiplayer.

Yeah, the animals are great, especially on the hardest difficulty, if you get hit by a tiger or anything you’re pretty much fucked.

Things I’d like to be different in FC3:
– less notifications and UI crap
– minimap too good. Making tagged people visible through obstacles might also be a bit overpowered.
– perhaps less side quests but with more depth, so far “Father’s burden” has been the most interesting one, now they’re just brainless A to B quests with virtual points as rewards.
– Looting system is mostly a hindrance early game and pointless after crafting all the pouches, quivers and bags
– exp system also feels a bit tacked on and meh. Some skills are nice additions though, like “reload while running” and such. If only all the skills were equivalently nice
– first half of the game is a bit too easy, combat difficulty certainly picked up after halfway
– same goes for wanted dead(assassination) side missions. Too easy at first but things get better as snipers and flamethrowers dudes show up.

I’m in the last stretch of the single player campaign and done about 65% of everything. All in all a good game, very well worth a playthrough or a few but I would’ve liked it to have one more difficulty option along the lines of Hardcore mode in Fallout: New Vegas. Far Cry 3 in its setting and framework would have been perfect for more of a survival/STALKER-style game, even more so than New Vegas.
