Good at the start, gets annoying and uninteresting as the book numbers progress.
House of Holes
-Rise of the Horde
-Day of the Dragon
-Lord of the Clans
All excellent reads.
I don’t really read much, but I recommend these.
– On Liberty: essential reading
– The Prince: essential reading
– The old man and the sea: essential and easy read
I read a lot of Irvine Welsh would recommend Trainspotting, Porno, Glue, etc
I love the darkness, the banter, the twisted characters; there are no heroes.
Can be hard to get in to if you don’t understand Scottish dialect :S
My school has me reading Lord of the Flies. Can I write an analysis based of off the Simpsons-episode only or do I have to actually read the book?

Ads, what did you think of the most recent, Skagboys, the Trainspotting prequel?
For me it didn’t hit the mark, all the stories were rather tenuously linked and the whole book lacked so much of what made his earlier books so good.
For the record, imho, The Marabou Stork Nightmares is my favourite Welsh book.
Nerd fact, I went to a booked reading by Welsh after Porno came out and he said a film of said book was in the making. Apparently it all fell through after Danny Boyle and McGregor fell out after The Beach (Di Caprio got the lead).
Oh yeah books, reading Le Debacle – Emile Zola. The Franco-Prussian war and the Paris Commune.
Currently reading Steven Erikson: Forge of Darkness.
The first in a trilogy of books set thousands of years before the Malazan Book of the Fallen, which was the greatest fantasy series I’ve read.
Enjoying it so far.
