Last night I upgraded my windows 7 32bit to a 64bit version and after setup it won’t recognise my mic. I have re-installed my driver (realtek HD) i can hear stuff in my headset but it wont show any noise in the sound control pannel thingy, i have clicked show disabaled devices etc but no luck. have also tried front and back jacks
also this is an edited thread from earlier today so ignore post below

Find your mainboard’s download section on the manufacturer’s website and get the drivers. In my case, it looks like this: http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/870%20Extreme3/?cat=Download&os=Win764
Alternatively, you could try to find out which LAN chip is installed on your mainboard and then download the specific drivers. If it’s from Realtek for example (which is very common), you would find them here: http://www.realtek.com/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=13&PFid=5&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false
You should have realised by now that it’s important to know which mainboard you have. Nobody can help without this information.
