Black Mesa lag on loading saves

Has anyone else experienced lag after loading saves in Black Mesa? Half way through the game it has suddenly started doing this for almost every save. Levels that I have fine FPS on usually are suddenly at 5fps after loading one. Tried everything I can think of.

I had one point where i zoned/rezoned/zoned and lost all my weapons, only fixable through cheats and manually readding them (gave me the correct amount of bullets back tho).
As for stuttering, I had some moments with 0.1fps, but rebooting the game fixed it every time for me.
have u tried with ur fps config?
I had a similar problem occasionally. Whatever the reason was, simply restarting the game helped.
