Right, pretty much since the beginning (can’t really remember if it’s always been that way, but for some time now) when I got it, which was 4 months ago, my Steelserie 6gv2 has been acting rather damn weird.
Here’s the issue:
The (USB) keyboard works totally fine , however after a seemingly random interval, the ALT key (sometimes I felt it was ctrl instead) appears to the system as if it was pressed constantly. This is fixed by tapping ALT/ctrl at least once, sometimes several times, afterwards it goes back to being normal again for some more time.
What do. Where go.

Don’t really undertsand the people’s need of buying a $40 keyboard when a $10 one does pretty much the same except it looks a bit worse.
Buy a £120 keyboard instead, they are the best.
nice trolling.

I don’t know man. I thought you wanted advice here.
Return it?
@OP
1. why aren’t you using PS/2 ? n-Key rollover doesn’t work with USB.
2. Maybe the switch in the alt key is broken/faulty? Did you pour sugary liquid over it?
@Ghostface, etc.
reason why -I- bought a more expensive keyboard is because with really cheap ones, The key-presses wouldn’t register, hence i went overkill and made sure it has n-key rollover.
Wait… do you have StickyKeys enabled in Windows?
sticky keys are off, checked that :))
nah, KB is clean (related: http://xkcd.com/237/ )
simply not using it cause my current board (blame me for choosing poorly) has no PS/2 connections :(
probably just going for a replacement then, seeing that this issue is somewhat uncommon.

Dunno about cheap keyboards in other countries, but around here each and every single “cheap” peripheral works perfectly for a long time even with poor maintenance. In all the years I’ve been using no-name brand keyboards, I’ve never had a keystroke not register.

I’ve had it with quite a few keyboards, that when I press multiple keys at once, that some don’t register, could be my bindings though, as I play with arrow keys.
What version of windows?

Get a newer keyboard.. Id suggest a sidewinder x4 or something, they’re great..
