Sony Vegas 10 problem

Hello,
Whenever i try to add an effect, some colour correction or anything like that i vegas, it’s only half the screen which the effect applys on. Example: http://i.imgur.com/yyXsm.jpg
Never tried this before, any ideas?

never used vegas but from that screenshot im seeing activated button that has “good (half)” on it… maybe its a hint dunno
