Even tho he sounds a bit snobish, Chaplain actually has a point. “Actual” dubstep is hard to appreciate on shabby sound systems because it is about bass weight, and not about filling up the frequency spectrum with distorted saw synths to give a feeling of “heaviness” or “rawness”.

When dubstep became brostep it rapidly gained popularity, not only because the music style became more formulaic (which the general public appreciates) but also because the frequency spectrum shifted upwards, more fit for being played on shitty speakers, earbuds, and FM radio.

Also wtf, last 3 links contain ACTUAL dubstep?!?!?! I guess humanity still has a chance ;))))))

Also, clip is not that interesting to me. Reminds me of what Cunningham did 15 years ago, but hiding the inferior cinematography behind breakneck cut ‘n paste on-the-beat editing which we have also seen over 9000 million times now.
