The webspace will consist of firstly it beeing created on a already developed website, until a structure of management and members and servers are there and working then eventually a new website will be issued solely for the community.
The community will be created on behalf of GPS and the servers will be provided by GPS.
So what we are looking for is leaders and management indeviduals to initially start applying if they are interested whereby we will then consider them and approve who we think is ideal for the roles at hand.

OP mentioned it’s a job. Not a matter of attitude. Matter of principals. I like getting paid to do my job.

Surely it is small minded to compare this as a real job?
We are simply looking for potential people who are interested in leading and building a community – which in return we will provide you with free servers to build your empire on.
Simple, right?

You came to the right community my friend, here on ETF2L you have a bunch of nerds who never leave the house who surley will do this for a free server.
You realise this is an actual job you are advertising, right? As in, there are people out there who make a living being a “community manager” for companies. A lot of major game companies have community managers and they get paid to do it because ita hard work when done right and they put in a full weeks work to do it. What you’re looking for is someone to create a community from scratch and that is far from easy, especially if you’re not doing it full time for money.
I’m not saying you’re wrong for advertising here, i’m just saying what you are asking requires a lot of time and effort, if you find someone to so it for free then well played but you’re ripping them off.

You cannot compare the Community Manager for riot games with what we are looking for.
Yes – it is the same job title, however the job title never describes the job as a whole. Different jobs with similar titles vary – just how degrees with the same titles vary due to the content within the syllabus. It is the requirements of the job which determines how difficult and time consuming a job is – not the name of it.
We sponsor many organisations and communitys which have different teams of their own and run cups etc.
We are just looking for a person who would like to be incharge of this and build up their empire from scratch. Many people dream of having their own big gaming community but the majority never succeed because it costs a lot – particularly servers.
We are offering servers for free.
We are not ripping anybody off because we are not requesting a Community Manager to do what “paid” community managers do. Do you even know what a proper community manager such as the Riot Games community manager has to do? If you do – then you would know that what we have asked for is peanuts compared to what real professional community managers do. We are merely looking for somebody to take responsibility of a few servers, we provide them along with a website, and they then are required to find teams and players for them servers. That’s it. It’s not rocket science – what do they get in it for them? Whatever servers they want for personal use assuming they are somewhat successful at their job.
Done and dusted really. No need to over exaggerate things because it is quite evident that the Community Managers roles which you are suggesting are not present in the job in which we are offering hence your claim is out of context.
Anyways – if anybody has any questions feel free to ask.

Haha Enef you just got sat down HARD! Gl to the op and whoever takes him up on his offer :)
Not really, he’s covering his own back with a long paeagraph, whilst the job’s i listed are obviously professional descriptions what he is looking for isn’t that far from them. He’s made many posts on this forum in an attempt to advertise and further GPS’s name in the community and we’re all thankful for that but he’s still asking someone to do what is easentially a full time job for free. If anyone has ever been part od an organisation has ever spoken to the org’s management they would understand just how hard it is to do something like this, even if you get all the servers you want for free. Hell ask Spike or any of the nervousENERGY foundera how tough it is to build and run a community, i’m sure they’ll agree its like having a second job.
Good luck have fun.

Covering my own back with a long paragraph? lol
I run an organisation myself.

Rings a bell?
You don’t need to really tell me that it’s a difficult job – it is, however believe it or not some people enjoy doing things like this. (Proof of that is shown because we have recieved quite a few e-mails!) Plus that one person will have staff beneath him which will make his much easier. Take it from me, I know what I’m talking about. Been there, done it, got the T shirt.
It can be slightly difficult to start off – but when you know your in charge of your own community, with teams that are in high places (e.g. our main CS:S team reached EPS Nordic, got into the last 32 of the ESWC Qualifiers and also won the Sweden EMS Qualifiers) you feel a sense of satisfaction. Do you know what my sense of satisfaction was?
My sense of satisfaction was that I am helping e-sports develop – particularly with some of the cups I used to run at Team Memento. I knew that I had supported this team with what they required to achieve what they did. The same applies to our other teams who did well such as our League of Legends team who came 3rd at an XL Lan in portugal. It feels great to be benefiting e-sports and helping teams grow and reach their goals. Same goes for our TF2 teams – whether it was our older ones, or newer ones.
You are really over emphasizing the job by calling it a full time job.
Can you actually expect somebody making a living over sitting at home doing what this job is requires one to perform? Realistically speaking at least. If the answer is yes, then you most likely wouldn’t want to imagine what a real job is like.
Anyways – bring an end to this. I’m glad you have shared your opinion on the subject. This discussion has been an eye opener.
