Because stvv is a messer and won’t use it for anything besides making animated knobs.

Never heard of that program, and its likely because no company uses that product, looks interesting but it could be a waste to learn it

Mudbox does the same things as Zbrush anyway afaik, so it all comes down to personal preference.
Zbrush was 1st to do it though, Mudbox was developed by some folks from Weta as an in-house tool iirc.
