People talking on mumble, ping goes 1000?

so… this is a problem. When 2 or 3 people talk on mumble, its all fine, but like if 4 people say “nice” , thats it – my ping goes up to 700 ms, I teleport around and I can’t do shit. Now I tried to play with my mumble settings, disabled the overlay – this didn’t fix the problem sadly. If anyone knows a solution ( I’m googling it atm ) I’ll be very happy :D
Back in the Vertex days, I played a L4D game with a guy who, when he used his ptt on mumble would have his ingame ping go in to the 2000s. He’d warp around and never die.
The moral of this story is, change games.

lower bandwith in mumble and try using tcp mode (in mumble settings)

He had awful Internet though. The copper wiring in his house was very old and very damp. Poor chap!

This problem sounds familiar from a long time ago

why are you suggesting tcp, udp has less overhead?

you see, it’s shit like this that makes me go off on a drunken rant at lan
I didn’t suggest anything else because the other suggestions/advice looked fine & I understood them.
I asked a question because I wanted to know why you thought tcp may help & you could enlighten me with some information about mumble which I didn’t already possess.
As far as I know udp is stateless & tcp sends acknowledgements etc.. here have the top link out of google on the matter http://www.skullbox.net/tcpudp.php so tcp utilises more bandwidth & is slower than udp…
