Since Pes6, Fifa has started to creep further infront each release which is a pity, was some really good competition there for a while, EA has just raked in the money and been able to improve alot more and have a monopoly on the names and licenses etc which puts people off buying PES. Fifa on the PC feels horrible though deffinately a console game.

tapley thats where you are wrong.. a few years ago i would agree with you, but this year they debuted the console version on the PC, all the features, graphics and gameplay is there, same or even better than consoles, not like previous years..
So now there is no excuse for Fifa Consoles being different than Fifa PC, just grab yourself a X360 Controller for PC and go for it :D

well in Ireland, lots say soccer because we have our national sport Gaelic Football which is totally different, so people say soccer not to be confused etc etccccccccc
As much as I like football, I can’t really stand Fifa games. Every year I give them a try though…
I didn’t get my ps3 gamepad working with PC demo. Keeps crashing on loading screen and replugging should work, but the game doesn’t recognize ps3 pad. And playing fifa with keyboard is even worse than playing fps with gamepad.
e: PS3 gamepad worked correctly with fifa 11 on pc .

Do you use DS3 tool for your PS3 pad? I do an I just make it clone the xbox config, so my PC thinks it’s an xbox controller and everything works natively

What Vaskie said! It’s got all the same features as the console version, and as long as you are using a pad, it means you get all the benfits of the console version with all FPS benefits and modding benefits of the PC :D (+ on release the PC version is £25 and the console version is £40ish)

With the tool open plug in your controller
You should then have the following option http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6252055/xboxoption.jpg
Just select that and then click enable at the bottom, should work then. That’s how I do it anyhow.
To check it works, once you done it click game controller panel and it should have an xbox pad there
