Nvm; the cause of the problem seems to be that google plus shut down their invite mechanism last night temporarily (tho… we don’t really know how for how long) due to exceeding capacity.

I got an invite but can’t join due to tester capacity reached!

they did that a few times but you will still receive the invites i send but you cannot sign up till they reopen it. if you tried it often enough it eventually works soon :)
