Why are console gamers so but hurt when they find out that PC is better? It’s so funny just to see their shitty arguments which include “aiming with a mouse and keyboard is easy” when they have aim assist and magic bullet in their games.

I mean I love the ps3, it can store movies, can play Tekken 6, Street Fighter and great games such as the God Of War series. But in terms of FPS, why do console gamers think that they are so good and superior over the PC?

I have a few classmates who scrim Halo 3 and MW2 together occasionaly (apparently there is competitive gaming on console :o :o :o :o). I asked some of them how the hell they could aim with the Xbox joystick and why they didnt move on to PC.

One of the main reasons they were playing console fps were that they just grew up playing Nintendo / Playstation and now Xbox360 instead of playing PC games. Now, I think that anyone can aim, move and multitask better with a mouse + keyboard than a controller, but there arent many fast paced shooters on console really. MW2 being probably the biggest console shooter. Later on at a school LAN we had, I launched TF2 and quake, showed them the more fast-paced side of FPS.

The first impression was basicaly “The game looks pretty ugly”, “Where is the gun (as I later explained was called viewmodel)” and some other stuff that slightly creeped me. I realized that console allows slight to no modificatons and asked if they dont want to remove all the visual clutter, aim more accurate and have a higher framerate.
Theyre nice guys, but it frustrated me how little they knew. I heard stuff like “I can aim fine even with insane blur and a explosions”, “The human eye cant see over xxx fps anyway (there was some discussion of this number being 60, 100 or 120)”. I kinda gave up. They didnt seem too interrested in TF2/quake.

Why console gamers get mad? In my case, they dont. Im the one getting mad, and in my eyes theyre playing games impossible to modify, and I guess they just accept it and try to have fun.

Its all cool they wanna play shooters. But what really gets on my nerves is the insane drive to fulfill achievements and get gamer points. I mean, what the fuck?

“Casuals”

The association of the PC with being a massive nerd, the fact it probably costs them more to buy what they see as a decent PC (especially if they wont build it themselves), and maybe even just a PC that’ll run games reasonably anyway, the fact that a lot of people own a console, especially kids, and just generally the fact they’ve grown up with it and know no different. So the PC side of things where people are tweaking their huds and configs and whatever the hell else, will likely make them go “woah. too complicated”, or something like that anyway, depends on the person.
