How do you confing Murmur (the Mumble server program)?
Did weqo lie to me? I asked him about Mumble and he said he had nothing to do with it o.O
Thanks for the answers, no I didn’t contact weqo, I think i kind of configed the server, but I still can’t find how to set AdminPassword.
edit: Set the SuperUser password (I think), now how do I log in?
There is no ‘AdminPassword’, like with Ventrilo.
Murmur uses an ACL system to control which user is allowed to do what.
By default there’s a SuperUser who can do whatever he wants. You’ll need create an account for yourself, and set appropriate rights for this new user using the SuperUser account.
I suggest you create ‘groups’ defining different roles on your Murmur.
By default there are @all and @auth. @all means everyone, and @auth means everyone with an account.
For the FakkelBrigade Murmur we use the @auth to define rights for the FB/TB members and have an extra @admin group to grant administrative rights.
The topmost user in the Mumble hierarchy is the useraccount “SuperUser”, which bypasses all permission checks and is always allowed to do anything. SuperUser can’t be used as a normal user account (it can’t talk) and should only be used for initial configuration or to recover from misconfiguration.
To set the superuser password, start murmur with ………..
Ok I did that, now how do I log in with the SuperUser? And can you change the main channel name (Root) to something else?
Thanks
Ok last questions:
1. Any way to change the “Root” name (pic-http://i40.tinypic.com/mjtny0.jpg)
2. Any way to say something else than my IP when I connect to the server (sound)
2. In your mumble.ini file add: welcometext=”Your Welcome Text”
3.’ ‘: bandwidth=”Some Big Number”
I have changed the welcome text, but the sound when i connect to the server is the same. Thanks for 3 ;)
