I’ve recently installed a new CPU into my old pc and whenever I join the vast majority of servers it freezes at sending client info, I then retry and then get “steam validation error” which isn’t fixed by restarting tf2 steam joining diff server etc.

I used to get this for a while previous to my new cpu. I also time out within the first 30 seconds of joining a tf2 server and therefore getting steam validation error again.

So computer elders (mainly chris and skyride :P) halp?

TF2 just doesnt like chavs.

this should give us more information about your problem, it basically checks for issues relating to steam validation and should give you a debug code (4 alphanumeric characters, or 5 if it is a serious error)

I’ve had this ever since the Engi Update. The first time I join a pubserver after I launch TF2 I lose connection.

The strange thing is, when the first server is a war server I don’t have the problem. If I join a pub after the war, I still get that I lose connection to that server :o

Just an fyi edd, it doesn’t have anything to do with your new CPU.
