When I log on to my comp. about 20 mins after logging on, it says “host and process services for windows has stopped working” then it comes up with a little box saying to check for updates, and my comp won’t let me check, does anyone have any idea why this is

Btw: When I get this host and process services has stopped working, i get massive sound lag in tf2 and my ping shoots up to 300-400 :s

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
