OK, so my budget is quite tight and I’m basically balancing between low-end stuff and utter crap. Saved around £200 and found something like this:
ASUS P5KPL-AM
Intel C2D E7500 2×2.93GHz
2x1GB Kingston 800MHz
Gainward GF GT240 512MB
Seagate Barracuda 7200 500GB
My question is, is that enough to run TF2 smoothly @ 60fps+ or is there a better set for not-so-much-higher price?
on xp and not huge res, easy
GFX card is a bit shit, but otherwise a perfectly good system. :)

A 240 should be fine for TF2 with that setup so long as he doesn’t play at a high res, tbh.

I’m used to play at 1024×768 and it’s fine for me… I guess 1680×1050 would be even more awesome, but I’m strapped for cash and stable framerate is the most important aspect for me now.

£93 out of £200 I’ve saved?
No thanks.
