Basically, on my old IRC program (icechat) – the topic was always at the top of my screen. On mIRC it isnt – any way to make it so the topic is always visible?

In ten years of using IRC I’ve never known the exact science of why this happens (so standby for a noob explanation), but basically sometimes when you join an irc server it won’t have the topics on. I’m guessing this is because the irc servers are all linked together and the link was disconnected for a while or something, which caused the server you are on to lose track of what the topics are, even though the other quakenet servers will probably still see it and have it on.

In mIRC’s options screen there is an option which lets you display the topic title in the program’s title bar (enabled by default iirc).
