All icons hiding! help!

w7 64bit
lost all icons from desktop, yet they still are in c/users/…/desktop
also i can tab+enter and open desktop icons, its just that i dont see them or able to point at them with mouse
only affects my users profile
any help appreciated!

sounds like a tag game to me!
I had this once and I simply had to right click on desktop and enable show desktop items or sth like this.

Right-click the Desktop -> View -> Tick “Show Desktop icons”

If you want to get him back, take a screenshot of his desktop, make it his wallpaper and hide all icons. Its such a mindfuck.
