hello :)
this is the case: today i was going to have a football training with my team, we usualy train 4 times a week and then we play a match on the weekend. But today i felt sick so i didnt train. I had a sore throat and a headake. so when i call my dad to tell him im not going to train he gets really pissed and starts saying alot of stuff.. the first thing he says though is.. -you cant play computer when u get home
-why cant i play computer?
-you are sick, you need to rest
-well, its not like im working out by sitting at a computer playing games really..
-just be quiet im not gonna take this discussion with you!
-why not , you never do..
-one more word and you wont be able to play more computer this week!
-(in my head) WTF!!!!!!!!!

everytime i get sick or cant train he always punnish me by removing my computer. sometimes he grounds me aswell… it has been like this for about 3 years, ever since i started playing computer…

my brothers skipped school because they played computer games, but what he doesnt understand is that im not like my brothers..
so basically, everytime he gets a chance to remove the computer, he does..

do u think this is okey, if you think it is then please leave a comment why, if you dont think its okey please leave a comment aswell…

well If you look at it from his point, if you have a headache, surely sitting infront of a screen will increase your ache.

It happens to everyone really, my old school parents dont really understand the attraction of the pc :P

1. this is what dads do. i had a good 6/7 years of it. computers are the devil
my advice is dont play on the pc like he says…or dont tell him your ill say you have sprained your ankle :D (btw that will have 0% chance of working. sitting on chairs is bad for your ankle probably.)

2. dont quit football to play games.

3. how does a headache stop you playing football? but let you play computer games? it makes no sense. have a glass of water the fresh air will do you good.

4. shouldn’t you be watching the world cup with your dad?

Your dad’s right this time , if your head hurts and you can’t play football where you need your body strenght. Then how the hell can you play pc games where you need to think? :D

you don’t need to THINK to play pc games honestly how do these young people even learn they don’t even get an education…!

it’s fucking stupids pointing and clicking is not to think they should go and get a job!!! losers!!!

punishing children that way isn’t quite helpful tbh. To repeat some wise words my mom once said: “You’ll find out yourself one day that you can’t continue playing that much.”
She was right, I did, and most “kids” who play games do too at some point.

Priem

he probably thought your “illness” and headache was just a lame excuse to play games, and he might be afraid of that you will end up quitting football and just play computer games instead.
go for your damn football mate.

Because I spent years just spending time learning about computers (forums, programming, etc), It was a little easier for me, but I’m sure if I had been into games at an earlier age (I got TF2 on my 15th birthday, I’m now 17), it would have kicked up.

What i’d say is this, do you actually enjoy football? If you don’t, you need to let your dad know. I had the same experience with my dad (although golf being the sport in question) and I bassically sat him down, spoke to him, and told him I just didn’t enjoy it. He was pretty dissapointed and I did feel pretty bad about it, but in the long run it was definately for the better.

However if that is the case, don’t just end up sitting at your PC every single night playing TF2. Thats pretty much what I did (and as much as they’d like to up their hard-guy super-cool image, thats pretty much the case with most people here), and I just so regret it. Theres hundreds of more interesting things I could have done with the time and over the last few months, I’ve just really come to realise it and do something about it. Just don’t sit at your PC every night, playing a game you hate going over every mistake just to make sure you win… like GibbZ. :D

Balls in your side of the park, do what you think is best and not whats expected of you. ;)
