So i’ve heard they switched CS:S and DoDs to the orange box engine apperantly?
I’m not so involved in these games but it got me intressed
does anyone know if there is like a picture comparison or video comparison somewhere so you can see the changes?
Or are they not noticeble?

OB engine = Source engine.. I thought it was like that lol.
its just the same u see on tf2… motion blur, higher textures and dynamic shadows
Seeing as there are 3 versions of source engine in source sdk, (Excluding L4D and 2)
I’d ask which engine they chose.
Source engine (HL2, EP2 and CS:S pre 2010, DoD:S pre 2010)
Source engine 2007 (HL2:EP2)
Source engine 2009 (TF2, Portal)
dod:s is on tf2(orange box) engine
yep, they switched the engine when they released the css beta, or they will when the beta will be the full version
css interp bug got fixed and the hitboxes are a bit better
but those killcam and mvp shit just doesnt belong to css
would like to have CS:S on the orangebox engine.

CSS and HL2DM are on Source Engine 2004.
TF2, DoD S, CSS Beta, Portal, HL2, HL2 Ep1, HL2 Ep2 are on Source Engine 2009/The Orange Box Engine.
The SP games (HL2/HL2 Ep1/HL2 Ep2/Portal) are on a different version of the OB Engine than the MP games (TF2/DoD S/CSS Beta), but it’s almost the same.
