Hi, i have a problem with mp4 on youtube, i compressed my movie with avisynth to mp4, everything is ok, but when i upload it to youtube, I notice that audio isn’t fit to video, it seems like audio is getting more messed up the longer i watch it. How can i fix it?

dont use lame as your audio encoder (if you are), use faac instead. Might wanna give ffmpeg / mencoder a try or megui (might be easier to use megui, because it’s got a gui). If you use megui then just select FAAC as the audio encoder and M4A as the extension and it should be fine.

Those things might help, but I’ve noticed this too with my mp4 uploads (it’s temperamental, if I upload the exact same file again it fixes it). Seems to be YouTube’s glitch, not yours.

As far as I’ve experienced, it isn’t a bug, but it’s picky on how you encoded the file. Mencoder should work. Otherwise, youtube will be happy to accept both wmv and mov files.

I’ve got a problem with mp4 aswell when uploading to youtube. My audio’s fine but it will randomly add some slow motion in at quite alot of points during the video. I’m just uploading in wmv at the moment but if anyone could help me with my mp4 problem, that would be great. :D

Hm, I always encode it the same way using ffmpeg, and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t (even with the exact same file being uploaded again, sometimes it works the second time).

Using ffmpeg as well and there are slowdowns occasionally, but a reupload has fixed it pretty much every time for me

i had this problem too, imo just render as .avi and youtube will accept it without ruining the audio :)

If i would like to use that ffmpeg compression to mp4, should i export my movie from adobe premiere as uncompressed or with lagarith?

Ok, i encoded it with ffmpeg, but i have an another problem:

1) Although i used encoding without separate audio (used “movie *.avi 5000 hq) in the end i get

C:ffmpegmoviefinal.aviaudio_encoded.mp4: no such file or directory

C:ffmpeg>del C:ffmpegmoviefinal.aviaudio_encoded.mp4
Nie można odnaleźć C:ffmpegmoviefinal.aviaudio_encoded.mp4.

Nie można odnaleźć – Can’t find

2)Somehow there is a sound in that *.mp4, but it is not fit with the video, it’s like about 2 seconds late. Why?

PROBLEM SOLVED, after using ffmpeg uploaded youtube vid looks good now.

KUKKO!

I have same problems with uploading mp4 videos to youtube. Youtube just fucks sounds to 0,5-1 seconds late. I have tried to encode with ffmpeg and megui, but same results. Uploading same videos multiple times doesnt give any efforts. Advices for this?

*problem solved: encode with pldx tool* :D

only problem there is that xvid sucks dick for compression to quality ratio
