Are you using the pldx movie config?

If so, on the left hand side there is a drop down detailing HUD:
Set it to Show killnotices & Crosshair
Then disable crosshair in the next drop down.

Firstly, I’d like to point out some stuff. I’m no where near good, but I can still say that you shouldn’t use FRAPS. There are two methods that I’ve used to capture, with PldX’s being the best.

PldX’s Recording Tool. You can set options for capturing and then launch tf2 with these settings, so none of this messing around with console commands. Plus, it allows me to record in 16:9 :p

You really should use the recording tool, but the link is there to help with explaining.
