its the “omg shit shots, shit quality, shit player n00000b!” comments.

ok, so he’s in div6 and isnt up to ur high standards of playing, but this person has seen one of the better made videos and has decided to try his hand at making his own, he might not be the best player so he puts in footage of his best shots and moments etc.

he then spends a good few hours trying to edit with unfamiliar software and when he posts it on the forums of the community he plays with he just gets flamed.

no advice on how to improve, just “bad vid, no good frags, laaaaame!!1”

we shouldn’t have to tell you what to do when you’re at such a basic level and haven’t even bothered to look at any other movie to see how people do things and what is acceptable

Those movies all have good players featuring, this is just himself, so does that mean that before he has to make a frag movie he has to get himself upto carnage’s level and play in a top TF2 team? or have lots of video editing experience?

this is his FIRST movie! what are you expecting? the idea is that you just quickly recommened something!

how hard is it to say “try using source recorder for higher quality videos, here’s a tutorial http://www.wwwww.com, if u use that it will look better then go to http://www.wwww.com for some editing tuts.”

I’m not sure if you are using after effects and are planning to make anything more in the future but if you are using after effects and are planning to make some more stuff in the future i highly recommend you watching all 10 tutorials here http://videocopilot.net/basic/

My first (and only) movie starred me playing my first ever 6v6 season on etf2l in div4 and it’s still better than this PoS ( http://www.wegame.com/watch/A_short_fragmovie ). He clearly didn’t give a damn about it looking good or anything. Not that mine looks good, I just slapped some shit together and played with contrast/brightness a bit. But at least I took the time to actually figure out how to record properly.

Took me 5 minutes to figure out how to record in high quality. Could have made my movie with windows movie maker. Trips was just being lazy. This is something you put on youtube for the lolz (like some others players do), but you can’t call it a frag movie. For me a fragmovie consists of 2 things: decent frags and decent video quality. If it has the first, I can live without the 2nd. But if the video quality is shit I ain’t even going to watch. I wont comment on this guy’s skill or the frags in the movie, because I simply didn’t watch it for longer than 30 seconds.

That isn’t the way someone should be treated by other members of the community.

I’m not the best of players, I’ve seen a few frag videos featuring some of the people who reply to these topics, I always thought I’d want to be as good as the game as them, but now I don’t care, because it seems that the better you get the more of a prick you become to everyone.

But I do know that some of you are rather nice people :)

I’m just saying, relating to the other topic, that the attitude towards someone new is just stupid and completely out of order. They’re deffinatly lacking social skills if the first thing they say to someone new is practically “your shit!”

Omg , look at these people.When I was released my first movie people don’t get understand me.They say “You suck”.And “you need to change your music style”.
And I checked this topic and I saw really good people and and their supporting messages.I’m listening “everything’s gonna be alright” everyday.For God’s sake “EVERYDAY” ! Fu guys , srsly.
