Demos will be broken after Update

Hi
I’m working on a Movie but I won’t have it finished before the Soli/Demo Update comes out. How can I watch these Demos after the Update?
Ermmm maybe turning off the automatic update option so you can still play the demo’s and then update when you’ve finished shooting the footage?! maybe?
I appear to have lost the bookmark, but there is a thread on gotfrag that details how to do it. I think it’s discussed on here too, can anyone who isn’t lazy (like me) find the thread?

Surely if you record all the footage you have now it won’t matter about the update?

Isn’t there a possibility to save your whole TF2 Folder and run it with another program?
