Encoding problem

I followed this tutuorial http://www.pldx.com/blog.php/2009/06/encoding-h264-with-ffmpeg/ but it gave me an error.
The error says: ‘movie’ is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
If you have a solution to this pleaze post

make sure you cd to ffmpeg
ffmpeg sucks. worked 1 of 9 times for me.
imo you should compress your video in virtualdub with an h.264 codec. Will always work. though on the down side file size will be bigger.

are you rendering to lagarith before encoding?
Ok seems I finaly did it…but now my 14 sec clip is 54 mb long wtf

if you read the tutorial you would know that ffmpeg doesnt work with lagarith videos
