Recording in TF2 gives jerky results, fine when played normally?

I have some demos that I want to record to some tga files, so I’m using salmons movie config. When I hit record the frame rate drops dramatically, as normal, but as it slowly moves along frame by frame, the game sometimes interpolates far too much in advance, and then snaps back in time. So it appears choppy, and out of time in tiny little 1/2 frame sections.
This doesn’t always happen, and I’m not sure what causes it. Does anyone have any advice?
Example movie: http://ks36383.kimsufi.com/gay.avi – notice the choppiness at the end
u might be able to fix this with what evilwoot posted on gotfrag http://www.gotfrag.com/tf2/forums/thread/405595/. I added the settings he posted today into my config so I’m not sure if you have the latest version of my config, so you could try that first, it should fix your problem.
download link for the config:

movie menu with the config and other useful files:

Fucking a, didn’t know 0.2 of this beast of a config was out yet! Going straight into TF2 to try now :D
This seems absolutely perfect – thank you so much salmon, keep up the great work on this amazing config :)
Excuse the necro’ing but is this meant to still work? I just fired up TF2 and whacked host_framerate up to 1000 and host_timescale down to 0.0001, but I still get jitters :(
have u tried a slightly lower framerate? maybe 600-700?
Yup, I’ve even tried recording it at 100, still just as bad. Maybe it’s just my dodgy windows vista rig playing up (TF2 randomly locks up in game anyway)…
i had this problem when recording at certain host_framerates. 120 was spazzing out all over the place like your video while 90 works no problem. Keep trying different host_framerate till you find one that works perhaps.
i didnt know about this and gotta say this is the best shit ever to happen to tf2 movies
those laggy slowmows fucked up every good movie
