Hello, I’ve been working on a movie config for a while now and I managed to finish one, but it was just too many configs in it and that is why it also had some bugs. Now I’ve been working really hard and managed to get it all into one config.
Download link for the movie config:

Download link for movie config + hud files + audio files:

However read this tutorial first so you know what you’re doing:

I’ll briefly explain how the movie config + hud files + audio files work. I included a batch file, which has a menu and there you can disable domination/announcment sounds and launch TF2. The benefit of using the batch files is that it copies the config, hud files and audio files to the correct directory once you launch TF2 from the batch file and once you’ve quit TF2 the files have been removed from your TF2 directory so you don’t have to copy back and forth movie files. Just copy the moviefiles folder and pldxmenu.bat file into your tf folder.
I also wrote a tutorial on how to compile recorded images (.tgas) from TF2 to a video:

Then some h264 encoding guides.
I’ve written for two different programs a guide on how to encode h264. I will also write a third one soon.

Please let me know if you find something hard to understand or wrong.
any reason you use mat_dxlevel 95 over mat_dxlevel 98?
This is really awesome, I will definitely be using this. Would it be possible to create an option to only keep the crosshair and the deathnotice like the script Jh created?

It does that with the .bat file just launch the game through it. Launch the batch file and press 1 and then enter.
there are some ingame screenshots:

and about the mat_dxlevel 98 thing, I was supposed to use mat_dxlevel 98, but I guess I put it in wrong, because I was so used to mat_dxlevel 95 being the highest. I will update that later on.
I have to say, this is rather brilliant, thanks for all the hard work Salmon. I might actually get round to doing a frag movie at some point due to this (maybe, if I can be bothered).
