Wow that are some insane airnades, gj there m8.
Downloading now! :)
I didn’t like it because you showed a clip of killing me! You know it doesnt look good if you kill low skill people like me. 0/10 Oh and I shall have my revenge.
But you did show a clip of getting Wlv (he is also low skill and annoying) so that gets you SOME points 5/10
Overall 5/10 :-P
Constructive Criticism is gladly welcome tbh. I know there are a few things which were bad to have in the movie such as
– showing the huds
– the net graph
– More labelling needed
etc any other thing ya think would make it look better and a class .avi let me know. Twas my first so >_<
Cheers
Byte
(Riemu will youtube it soon dude will pm u when its done)
meh it was okay
As you’ve said, remove hud, netgraph and so on..Try making it higher quality, I mean, I really like movies that have crisp in game footage, although I know theres limits on this with size and compression (I used to work for the Half Life Movie Project :D).
Considering the res of the movie, the writing could be a little smaller and better placed, i.e closer to the top/bottom corners so it doesn’t restrict the viewers view so much :).
The positivies of the film are definately the pace and the footage. i.e the majority of the kills on there were good and diddn’t seem like “pointless filler” and it was also fast paced. I have a dislike of movies that are really slow and just show people running to the next kill (fast forward anyone?!?!).
Maybe with the second movie, take more time putting it together (as far as updates will let you anyway). What I mean is, yea the footage was top notch and its a credit that it was filmed in just one week, however, it would be nice to see a story style scenario, covering a competition for example.
I’ve always thought that in a demoman movie, on one of the “spectacular” gren airshots, following the pipe in slow motion (using stv – and a steady hand :P) would be awesome!
We managed to make a script for tfc that would control camara movements in spec and hltv, so you had binds for pan left, rotate etc which gave a really good steady movement of the cam.
If I can find it on an old hdd, ill edit it to work on hl2 based games and dcc it to you :>
if it’s still needed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8cFQav2y0w
