can't install sony vegas 10

so basically,my whole HDD got completely wiped.
now i need to redownload my editing program and stuff.
i edit with vegas pro 10
basically,when i start the setup,it has 4 requirements that it needs
.net framework 3
and some other things
when i press start to download,it immediatly tells me that the download failed and setup quits.
this is very frustrating since i have no editing software.
any help apreciated.if this isn’t the correct sub forum,tell me :)
edit:
i have fixed the problem,it seems it was .net framework 3.0,even though i had the newest version sony vegas just need 3.0 i guess.

You can make a screenshot of the list of programs , and try and download manually one after the other by typing their name on google .
They are most likely free .
Personally haven’t ever used Vegas but I know my buddy SorroW has problems with Vegas 10 as well so maybe just go Vegas 9?
Or just go use After Effects, it might be less “simple” for editing timelines but you get to familiarize yourself with a program that has more potential?

onv,i’ve tried downloading them,but it seems i have a problem with downloading period.
.net 3 couldn’t connect to the server
it seems its some problem with my downloads or smth…

after effect is not an editing software, it’s an AFTER EFFECT SOFTWARE. pretty simple to understand isn’t it? Adobe Premier is an editing program.

Sounds like firewall issues.

I see, so because its name is “After Effects”, its sole purpose is to add so called “After Effects”? That makes a lot of sense!
After Effects is an NLE just as Vegas and Premiere are NLE’s.

After Effects is an NLE just as Vegas and Premiere are NLE’s.
While After Effects supports basic editing, its main focus is not the actual editing. Saying After Effects is an editing program is like claiming Word to be a painting program – you can paint stuff with it, right?
You can write letters in paint too! :D

I never said After Effects was an editing program.
I said that although it isn’t as simple and easy as Vegas or Premiere when it comes to timelines, you could still very much use it to edit and get the “bonus” of familiarizing yourself with the program to do other stuff with.

i have .net framework 4
but it seems vegas 10 needs .net framework 3
so im really confused here
i mean isn’t .net framework 4 update of 3.
freaking vegas man..
i haven’t edited anything in 20 days,im getting the shakes
