Any fix to the problem of no smoothed demos?

I know this is a fairly common issue at the moment. What happens is no _smoothed.dem file is created. It doesn’t freeze when we press save and there is no console message. Is there any fix or workaround to this?

We are writing to steam support almost every week.
It looks like it works for few people and doesn’t for all the others but we can’t understand what’s causing the bug. Steam support is slow as usual.
Post any news you have in that thread pls!
