So I was trying to create a short frag clip, I watched all of SonOfDad’s clips on tf2 moviemaking including this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcpeYsqwt4c&list=PL5FA4D17F823C06B3 .
Ingame you record at 240fps, you then import it into your movie editing software and it should use the 4 frames to create one (new framerate is 60fps). SonOfDad uses Sony vegas and that program appears to be doing this automatically.
I however use Premiere Pro and it doesn’t appear to be doing this, what settings do I have to change or is the only way to do this switching over to Sony Vegas (Which I’d rather not do)?

I imported my tga files into virtualdub and then exported them at 240 fps, should I export them at 60 then? Wouldn’t that mess up the speed?

turn on frameblending, you have to do it individually for all the clips

I believe it does not mess up the speed. Just try it out a bit if you are unsure. Doesn’t take too long.

If you cap at 240 and vdub at 240 you should get an avi at the right speed and 240 fps. I don’t know why Premiere Pro would change the speed of the video.

What if you start the project as a 240 fps video and then render as 60fps?

This works too, you tick the box “Frameblending” under render settings
