Cannot import .avi files into Sony Vegas 11/ After effects CS6

Getting this error message: “none of the files dropped on vegas pro could be opened”.
Imma working on Windows 7 Ultimate, 64-bit.
I have installed lagarith codec, k-lite/ community codec packs.
Tried googling, nothing has helped.
Any ideas?

Sounds like another program is using it. Try closing all programs or even restarting and then try again?
If you could encode to Lagarith with VDub, obviously the codec is set right.

Tried restarting computer, i have basically no programs running on my computer. Tried using Virtualdub instead of PLDX .tga file converter and it actually worked.
