Hello guys. I don’t know what’s going on, but since pldx and lawena stop working in my pc, i just decided of recording in .avi directly. Well I used these two programs because I’m going to my village without any tecnology and totally alone, so…I would like to download some tf2 demos and then record it in avi to watch it when i’m bored.

So what i want is, do you know any program to record TF2 in 2nd view (doing whatever i want while recording) in “decent” quality?
Thanks for reading :D

Losing pldx and lawena doesn’t mean you can’t record… They’re just apps that do some simple stuff automated, not witchcraft :D

Just play your demo, then type:

host_framerate 30
host_timescale 0.033
startmovie “moviename”
endmovie

Then you end up with basically the same as pldx or lawena gives you, a tga sequence, out of which you can make an avi in the usual manner (easiest+quickest way is to import this tga sequence directly into virtualdub and export from virtualdub directly to x264 using x264 vfw codec http://sourceforge.net/projects/x264vfw/

Setlet

Not sure if relevant, but TF2 doesn’t support recording in .avi anymore if using “startmovie”

Yea. I tried another solution but something happened :l Is…strange
I was rendering a video in FRAPS, and when that finished, i just wanted to watch it. But after 2 or 3 seconds of the video, I just god a BSOD “atimkpag.sys failed”. It’s strange, i have the latest drivers and all. Any solution?
