Been messing around with my video capture card. Turns out it’s quite easy for me to do some quick, one map commentaries after I finish work (when I would usually watch a league game that I’ve missed). It doesn’t take up my whole evening, and so this will probably be a regular thing (download a demo a day, commentate, upload the next day). Afterall… if I’m watching a game anyway, why not talk over it? :)

Anyway, they won’t be as professional as anything for VanillaTV that I do, but I’m sure some of the games might not be covered, or maybe it’s just an alternative coverage for you guys to listen to.

Can find the vods at either:

The latest one is the second map of Epsilon vs Tryhards (not the best game, but I don’t know the scores before I commentate them, as it keeps it fun). Here’s the link:

As one of the youtube commentators already mentioned, the ingame sound in the Epsi – tryharders badlands vid was too loud.
Apart from that: It is always nice to hear you casting :)

Maybe it’s better to use custom hud, because hard to see uber percentage and scoreboard is too massive. But it does not spoil great commentary, very intensive.

You’re moving your camera so fast that it makes me wanted to puke !
BTW, you should lower your gamma, it’s too bright and maybe use h264 as a vcodec. You’ve got the voice to make the action looks intense so keep up the good work !

Thanks, I realised the volume bit in the first vod, others should be ok.
As for rendering, I’ll experiment with some after effects to correct some lighting, but I don’t want to touch my TF2 settings. Part of this being easy and fun is that I don’t really have to do any extra work, just load a demo and talk.
