I just wanted to give you guys an update on what’s been happening in the jumping/surfing community recently. I just made a new demo call for another community movie that I’m gonna do, the thread is here:

Also, I made a picture in Photoshop while waiting for the Ex vs mix^ match to start, at least some good came out of it being cancelled…

Has there ever been tournaments, where people race against each other in jump/surf maps?

We have jump races on the server every Thursday evening, we’ll probably start doing surf races soon too. They’re pretty casual right now since they’ve only been going on for a few weeks, maybe at some point we’ll make it more organized though.
Is there a server that runs surf maps 24/7?

TF2Jump runs a surf server now too, 216.52.143.76:27015
Unfortunately there aren’t any European surf servers anymore, high ping doesn’t affect surfing much though.
I’m always on the surf server, failing the first stage and watching Kelao(?) wizz past me :(
The movie is postponed until the STV demos are fixed, I didn’t realize the update had broken them. :
