I just came across a guide on how to make frag videos and thought some of you might be interested.
nice read
def going to be thinking about some of these things for my upcoming movie
I don’t agree that the soundtrack needs to change every minute to keep it interesting, it’s quite the opposite I think…

If mixed properly I don’t mind, but sudden cuts between different types of music with completely different beats can be very distracting. I usually cut a bit in the songs I use, shorten down down-tempo parts of songs if necessary and such.
It’s a pretty good guide actually. Too many watch a bunch of tutorials on how to make some neat transition or 3D texts but have no actual clue how to edit a movie to make it pleasing to watch. (not that I’m any good at it though.) :P

nice guide.
but i agree with soundtrack change. i mean, if you put 1 song (3,15min) and another song (2.50min), maybe a rock song and pop/dance/idontknow:D you can only show 2 EDITSTYLES. but if you decide to use maybe 5 songs(with different music genres) you can use so much editstyle with different styles.:D
and about the 3d. 3d is not just to watch TUTORIAL on youtube. 3d you need to be creative. you need to create nice 3d works (which is not in every css movie.)
but anyways very nice guide.

And you’ll end up with a totally inconsistent movie without any theme the movie sticks to apart from “random editing”.
Half of this is good advice, half of this is terrible advice. So basically you will be no better off than when you started for reading this.

What if you do every second piece of advice?
Read the bit about theme. That is absolutely 100% correct. The rest of it is pretty wishy-washy.
