Well, this could be movie related or not, i dont care this just feels like the best place to ask.

Every few weeks/months whatever i will download Vegas, Virtual Dub, PLDX, H.264 etc to make a tf2 movie out of boredom. But everytime i do this, like two weeks maybe less after, i open the file where i keep all of my .avi’s that i’ve made the vegas files and compressed versions for uploading and my explorer crashes, aswell as ‘DrWatson’ or somthing on those lines crash.

“Dr. Watson for Windows is a program error debugger that gathers information about your computer when an error (or user-mode fault) occurs with a program”

soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, does anyone know how to fix this? or which program will likely be causing this?, my thoughts are on the Vegas download i have and the files i make with it, mainly because it was torrented from tpb ;x

thanks:)

as the name says it “unlocks” your .avi files.
I dont really know why some are locked but you have to unlock them before working with them or you’ll get these crashes :P
But it doesnt change your files or something like that.

Explorer crashing is (for me) a sign that you’re missing a codec – it crashes since it can’t create the thumbnail icon for the video.

It could be worth installing a codec pack.

That will maybe fix it. Worked for me couple of month ago.
