My uncle asked me to advertise his new software in professional forums so he can get some quality feedback from users.

Basically the programs claim to be the fastest and most intuitive way to upload movies to youtube.

Imo it’s great for people who upload movies on a daily basis, with one or more youtube accounts. Like people who want to share their frags with the world and don’t want to waste their time dealing with youtube and sharing in facebook and twitter.

Main Features

-Multiple videos uploading.
-Multiple YouTube accounts.
-Various upload methods: Open file dialog, Drag & Drop, Right click etc.
-Auto Upload Assistant: A smart plug-in that integrates with every video player (Windows Media Player, VLC, BSPlayer etc.) and lets you upload your video directly to your account.
-Upload Scheduler: select a video (or several videos), set the time, and the scheduler will start the uploading process automatically.
-Share your videos with your YouTube friends or with your email contacts.
-Send your videos directly to your Twitter account.
-Create and manage playlists easily.

Works with XP,Vista and Windows 7

Look forward to some constructive feedback,

The software uses the official Youtube API and to do that you need to be registered as a developer of youtube and google. If you want you can do whois on the domain and see his details, he has nothing to hide.

This program isn’t going to replace the upload icon in youtube. Imo it can really provide you some strong features that will upgrade the way you share movies, such as multiple accounts, drag and drop, creating playlists and more. Maybe it’s better to most people just to upload in the old way but I think that some people in this forum will now how to benefit from Tubeshack. Just try and see.

If this works how I think it does, it sounds actually really useful for business-related uploads.

It’s something I could use for a few of my clients.

Is your uncle the ‘John’ guy, whose email is at the bottom of the page?

(P.S. Website is horrible to look at <3 )

even with API usage very reluctant to use software not developed by the company which made the service which interfaces directly and could potentially read username/password information. don’t pretend it’s not possible, it’s easy to use the API and still read information like that.

source and compilation switches would be appreciated for verification.

Hi,
I’m the developer of the software. “john” is the guy who built the website.

Chris,
I’m the developer of TubeShack.
I understand your reluctance. Basically, you’re right. Even with the API it’s very easy for me to collect info such as usernames and passwords.
However, I don’t do it. I just don’t.

There are plenty ways to discover my personal identity (doing a whois on my website is just one of them). It would be very foolish of me to leave all those traces if I want to steal identities or commit something illegal.

TubeShack is not a spyware, nagware, maleware or anything like that. I don’t show ads, no popups. nothing.
However, it wasn’t written as an open source software because I might release a premium version.

I hope it helps :)
Thanks

Steve
