Hey.
Basically I’m fed up with my videos looking like shit and I would appreciate if someone could help me out. Also would like to know how to get the file sizes smaller because in this video all the clips together were 25gb in size.

– PLDX 200fps/TGA
– Virtual dub – uncompressed
– Sony vegas 30fps final render

I am not looking to make frag movies, just wanting to make simple clips.
I’m sorry if these questions have been asked alot.

Mine are pretty sexy.. PLDX is pretty much standard, uncompressed render through VDub then after editing render out uncompressed from AE.. Final render through meGUI

Looks nice, how do you get the video to fill the entire youtube screen?

Just put it on max quality and render as lossless .avi, after that you render with megui as .mp4

And please, don’t use any of the pldx effects. It looks horrible!

That takes ages and I want to use TGA’s.

eXtreaL

Render an uncompressed wmv out of vegas (simply go to render as > Template: Default Template (Uncompressed).

Then follow this tutorial in order to encode your raw video for use with Youtube.

Btw: Try rendering 60fps out of Vegas, your quality (and of course FPS) will improve alot!

No? And yes, in this way you use TGA’s too. You compile from .tga to lossless .avi in vdub, then you edit, and then you render as lossless .avi agin and then finally, you make the .avi to a .mp4 file using megui.

Heres a tut on it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csxRXEXXKYY <– Both vegas render setting and how to use megui.

Lossless video in sony vegas is all messed up.

Don’t render out of vegas as lossless, you’ll gain a small increase in quality in exchange of a bunch of rendering problems and a much bigger file size…
My new method is:
1. Record 240/400 fps with pldx, 1280×720.
2. Compile in vdub using lagarith lossless codec.
3. Render out of vegas as uncompressed, 60 fps, 1280×720 (default audio, higher audio quality is hardly noticeable.)
4. Encode in megui with x264 2 pass hq codec, 60 fps and 10 000 bitrate. Gives a smooth look and great quality, fairly big file size though.

WARHURYEAH

GlueEater

Record 30fps in PLDX with TGA’s
Convert to lagarith lossless at 30fps
Do some shizzle in after effects render lossless with lagarith
do some shizzle with vegas
render uncompressed 30 fps
render to h264 with easy.h264

i get this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mW1U7NuUK50

Grouver

1) Record video with fraps (30 fps) at 1920×1080 (is what iam using)
2) Import in a 720×576 – 30 fps vegas project
3) Then -> Render as -> Choose for the codec: Mainconcept MPEG-2 with the HDV 720-30P Template and render the file.
4) Upload the m2t file.

Then you get this:
