stafu's FRAGGIN' - Australian Scout Frag Movie

Hey guys,
Although none of you will have heard of me (I’m from Australia), I figure some may enjoy this anyway. This is a very short frag movie I put together in the space of a couple hours this last weekend. Most of the footage is from the last 4 or 5 days, and is made up mostly of scrim footage (with 2 clips from pick-ups). I was going to take the pug clips out, but in the end it’s some extra footage that I know at least some people will appreciate, pug or not, and this is no big production, it’s just for a bit of fun.
I have no experience with video editing nor do I have any video editing software at my disposal right now, so there’s really no editing, nothing flashy. It was made with VirtualDub, Photoshop for the title/out screens and Audacity for audio.

I’ve made two versions because I originally did it in 60 fps, so there’s also a 30 fps version available that’s lower filesize (though not by a whole lot) and a YouTube HD stream (great quality).

Could have used some more map variation but other then that it was good.

Btw is it a regular aussi tactic to play sniper throughout the entire map? Or was that just a coincidence?

afaik 8v8 is standard in australia. correct me if im wrong.
Nah we play 6v6 standard, same rules as ETF2L/ESL/CEVO etc.
Some clans run a sniper on badlands instead of 2 solds, but it’s usually just for rollout to try pick off the med.
I don’t know any of the names… if you’re playing against some super skilled teams, then I guess it’s alright, but they don’t seem particularly skilled to me (the medic waiting at the medpack inside the house on badlands takes three shots before he realises someone is shooting at him) and it seems they have very little communication.
The editing is fine imo. I don’t like frag movies that are editing show-offs. But I wasn’t really impressed by the kills.
If you compare this to SKiNNie’s fragmovie then you’ll see that he is playing against some of the best scouts in Europe and still take them out (even when they sometimes are two scouts against him). And when he tries to kill the enemy medic, their players will actually try to stop him from doing so (see 5:00, and 9:50). That shows skill imo, whereas in your movie you’re killing unguarded medics and snipers. Not really impressive. ;)
You do have some nice sprees though (like 1:30 and 2:05). They don’t exactly show incredible skill, but they are nice to watch (just like air rockets). I’d like to see more of those. :)

The frags are very standard to be honest, though I admit it’s very hard to enjoy a video if you don’t know the skill of the people being fragged, and this is especially true with scout vids. What I’m missing is people actually putting up a fight and you triumphing over them. Not just shots in the back, meatshots or not.
edit: Anyway, since F2 posted another scout movie I’ll do the same, http://etf2l.org/forum/movie/topic-1046/?recent=11347 has some great runs against pretty skilled people. On a sidenote, why do all scout vids have 0 effort editing? :D
Cause most people don’t know anything about editing, and apparently the people who feel the need to make a fragvid are mostly scouts :p
booring, started to fast forward after watching 1/3rd of vid and didnt find anything more interesting further on…
