Okay, due to the faggotry of other methods that I have used to encode my videos im in need of new ideas, basically I used to be able to encode with the whole PLDX tool and shizzle, getting very good quality and low file sizes etc. all nice and dandy, however recently this has changed and PLDX’s tool doesnt seem to work and I’m not getting very in terms of a solution in that area.

So yeah, if anyone knows any other ways of encoding videos that get me a low filesize but a good quality, let me know. :DDD

Or if you happen to have Adobe Media Encoder, that makes things really easy and quick.

Easy H264?

Use Huhy’s tutorial if you don’t know how to use it.

Just tried it, I select the video to encode, start it, the black box comes up for a second, says its done but all I get is a 0 byte MP4 file :/

Virtualdub: http://www.virtualdub.org/
x264 encoder: http://x264.nl/

Load video in virtualdub, go to video -> compression, select x264. Press “configure”. Pick a good bitrate (somewhere between 4000 and 8000 depending on the filesize you want). Select: “multipass – 1st pass”. Go back, go to file, save as avi. Then after rendering repeat the process but choose “multipass – nth pass”. The file that comes out of this rendering will have correct image (instead of probably a black screen from the first pass encoding) and will look really nice if all went well.
