The transitions are pretty meh. I mean a twirl? Come on :P Fading is always the best way, it’s just you could make the fades be a creative alternative fade.

Download PLDX for the hud (like vierbeister said)
Maybe a little less saturation and more brightness for the colours? Clip is too dark imo.
Try to make your smooths a little “smoother” (:P) by making either more keyframes or less movement between the keyframes.
Try some effects like HSL adjust (standard in Vegas) and increase the luminance on a kill.
