The american TF2 community is fuckign awful. Like I really don’t care about whos better players, but really you couldn’t be more wrong.

I wasn’t talking about skill either. They are just generally more helpful, open minded, and a lot less elitist.
Other than that I hate pretty much everything american :)

Despite being American, I have to Say the euro players have an way bettter attitude despite it’s enormous size. The na scene might be only half or 3/4 as big as the eu scene, but there is way too many drama and eveyone just enjoys trolling one another :/
edit: I can seewhy a not well known player in eu Think the div1 people doesn’t care about them, but that’s naturallygonna happen when you have 500 people playing this game

Yes, I have. I don’t see any high level player being a dick without being provoked.
Added to that I personally haven’t had any problems with high level EU players including some people who are well-known to have big egos and as such who’d you expect to be dicks. :p
Back ON topic:
I have been following the guide for encoding to h264 on pldx: http://www.pldx.com/blog.php/2009/12/encoding-h264-with-megui/
But am having problems getting the right encoder settings to work.
The guide was obviously written for a slightly previous version of megui, as it tells me to select encoder ‘x264 Unrestricted: 2 Pass HQ’ of which there is no such option.
So I chose ‘x264 Unrestricted (DXVA)’ and no matter which settings I chose under ‘config’ it always fails with an error at the end of the encoding of the video (job3 of 4).
When I chose ‘x264 Max Compatability (DXVA)’ everything works fine. But obviously I want my vid to be in great quality which is why I followed this tutorial.
Any help would be much appreciated.
I can post the error log if needed.

I had the same problem when I tried using megui. I googled for ages and found a bunch of megui presets which you can install, the one you’re looking for is included (just click on file import presets or something. Only I can’t find the link anymore.. Still had it on my computer so I’m reuploading it for you:

I had the same problem. But I posted a topic and Forza uploaded it to me. I can upload it for you later, but now I’m doing some vacuum cleaning :<

Hmm, even after importing the new encoding options it still gets an error at job3.

As I said earlier, it works fine when I choose encoding option: x264 Max Compatability (DXVA)

Hmm I rendered another uncompressed avi to make sure it wasn’t just the avi that was bad and it seems to have worked first time. So for the moment, problem solved.
